Laksvatn, Norway

Seeking dark skies, we set up camp near Laksvatn on the Ullsfjorden, outside of Tromsø. The lights, initially dim and sputtering, blazed across the sky in a powerful display after twenty minutes.

Abisko, Sweden

In Abisko National Park, Sweden, we had the Blue Hole1 helping us clear out the clouds above the park and could walk just a few minutes away from our cabin to get a great view of the lights.
